Sunstone Business School, a specialised Management School for senior information technology professionals has opened the admission process for the second batch of PGPM - a Post Graduate Programme in Management. The programme is offered part time over a period of 17 weeks and is specifically designed for senior industry executives with minimum an average work experience of 5 years in IT/ITES industry. The focus of Executive MBA is to enhance the business, managerial and leadership capabilities of technology professionals so that they can contribute business leadership for IT and IT based organisations.
“The technology industry today has a serious talent shortage at senior position due to lack of business managers with technical expertise. On the other hand there the technology industry has many brilliant engineers who are unable to progress due to lack of business management acumen,” said Rajul Garg, Director, Sunstone.

After the wonderful corporate placement interest for our first batch students, we are now inviting applications for our next 2013 batch for senior IT professionals,” he added.
The PGPM course consists of learning modules, adapted to current industry requirements, delivered by senior technology professionals in management roles, ensuring high engagement and bridging the gap between students and industry. The Programme provides detailed learning on matters like Financial Analysis, Organisational Management, Marketing and Product Management, Entrepreneurship, Business Straetgy etc. This unique course runs over 750 hours of learning spread across three terms of 17 weeks including 15-20 days of contact programme.
To ensure that the programme inculcates relevant skills required in current business environment the B-School have developed a special advisory board. The faculty comprises of professionals with experiences at leading tech and consulting companies including McKinsey, Naukri and Adobe among others and act as consultants and coach to the students to achieve their learning goals. The school envisages redefining the prevailing education methodology by adopting an intensive problem solving based learning system.
A unique attribute of Sunstone is that it offers career services to students including counseling and placement support as opposed to online/part time MBA programmes.
