For the first time Taj Air is exhibiting at the India Aviation 2010 showcasing the new additions to its fleet of jet aircrafts - Falcon 2000LX jet and P.180 Avanti II turbo- prop aircraft.

Taj Air is the sole distributor of Falcon 2000LX and P.180 Avanti II in India. The company is also the authorized distributor of Piaggio Aero’s P.180 Avanti II in Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives and Mauritius.

Falcon 2000 and Falcon 2000LX
Equipped to fly 8 passengers (Falcon 2000) - 9 passengers (Falcon 2000LX), these twin engine jet aircrafts have the quietest wide body cabin in business aviation. This ensures that passengers are not disturbed by sounds of the engine, even at speeds up to 0.8 Mach, which is nearly 80% of the speed of sound.
The Falcon 2000 - Falcon 2000LX, with a range of 5555 kms – 7400 kms respectively, enable undisturbed travel across continents. The twin engine jet aircrafts can fly to any destination within a radius of 6 flying hours (Falcon 2000) - 9 flying hours (Falcon 2000LX), within India and abroad, without refuelling. Taj Air also flies further, with re-fuelling stops.
The jet aircrafts come fully equipped with a Satellite Telephone System and Fax System to keep passengers connected with the outside world at all times. Falcon users, also have access to three-course meals from a wide choice of cuisine, which includes both Indian and international delicacies.
P.180 Avanti II
The Piaggio P.180 Avanti II is one of the most remarkable airplanes, with a unique Italian style and design. The innovation in design offers enhanced performance resulting in reduced noise levels in the passenger cabin and increased fuel efficiency. This turbo-prop aircraft has a cabin that rivals the size of popular midsize business jets and can land on shorter runways as compared to jet aircrafts.
Equipped to fly 6 passengers, the P.180 Avanti II has a range of 2722 kms (4.5 hours of non-stop flying) with a maximum cruise speed of 745 km/h (MMO 0.70) - the first business turbo-prop to reach this significant speed milestone. The P.180 Avanti II turbo-prop aircraft offers the speed of a light jet aircraft along with the comfort of a large, whisper quiet and real stand-up cabin.
Also, in today's ecologically sensitive world the Piaggio P.180 Avanti II is set apart from its competitors with its ability to achieve a high level of performance, with unrivalled fuel efficiency - that means also low emissions and reduced operative costs.
Taj Air is the only charter company in India to operate from its own maintenance facility, built at an approximate cost of US$ 2.5 million. The state-of-the-art hangar manned by a dedicated team of ground engineers certified in the manufacturer’s facility; ensures that the aircrafts meet the stringent specifications of the manufacturer, and of international and Indian regulatory authorities.
The company also takes care of the finer details including airport formalities, baggage handling and aircraft transfers. Each trip is priced basis the flying time and waiting period. Every hour on board Taj Air Falcon jet aircrafts are priced at Rs. 3,00,000/- and Taj Air Avanti is priced at Rs. 1,05,000/-.
Taj Air has flown to more than 150 airports in 56 countries.
