Tata Indicom launches MaiLite for BlackBerry Smartphone Users

New Silver data plan gives customers unlimited Internet and instant messaging for just Rs. 299/- per month

Providing more value options to its business and retail customers, Tata Teleservices Limited, India’s fastest growing pan-Indian telecom service provider, today announced the launch of the new Tata Indicom MaiLite data plan for BlackBerry® service subscribers. This new Silver data plan provides customers with UNLIMITED data for accessing up to 10 supported email accounts, plus an optional BlackBerry email address, and popular instant messaging (IM) services at the low monthly rate of just Rs. 299.

The MaiLite is a new rate plan available for the BlackBerry® 8830 and BlackBerry® 8703e smartphones. The BlackBerry 8703e, with its solid voice and data features, long battery-life performance, Bluetooth® support and full QWERTY keyboard is now available from Tata Indicom for just Rs.9990/- and offers an exceptional value with the MaiLite rate plan.

Commenting on the launch of the new BlackBerry offer, Mr. Pradeep Dwivedi, Senior Vice President – Marketing, Tata Teleservices Limited said, “This is a paradigm shift in the proliferation of email access by mobile users. The Tata Indicom MaiLite data plan offers unlimited access to industry-leading email and instant messaging features, allowing customers to access up to 10 supported POP3/IMAP email accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts such as Yahoo! Mail and Google Mail), plus an optional BlackBerry email address, as well as various instant messaging services (including Windows Live Messenger, GTalk, Yahoo! Messenger and BlackBerry® Messenger) from their BlackBerry smartphone.
