The EuroIndia ICT (Information and communication technologies) Co-operation conference sharing the Innovation project findings on the Indian ICT innovative story with Industry, Academia and Government, will be held on the 10th & 11th December 2009 at the International Management Institute (IMI) New Delhi.
Supported by the European Commission and hosted by IMI Delhi, the final conference, to share its findings and insights, is aimed at managers & researchers wanting to create an environment to initiate and support innovation, within their companies, learn about Indian accomplishments, forecasts for Indian ICT & interact with the EU representatives present.
The “Euro-India ICT Co-operation” initiative aims to, comprehensively map the innovative landscape of Indian ICT companies and enable the results of the mapping exercise into the policy dialogue between Europe and India. It also aims to encourage Indian ICT companies to take part in the seventh framework’s funding opportunities in partnership with European companies.
This Euro India project is funded by the EU 7th Framework program for 2008-2009. The objective is to discuss the road mapping findings in thematic sessions through presentations from best practice cases as well as examples of regional strengths for potential collaboration between European & Indian ICT players.
101 Indian Organizations were involved in the submission of Framework Programme Six (FP6) ICT proposals, of which 22 were successful while 41 Indian organizations were involved in Framework Programme Seven (FP7) ICT Call 1 proposals of which 6 were successful.

The two day conference will be segmented in three distinct sections. The first will encapsulate events that aim to share the EuroIndia finding on the past two years of the ICT innovation mapping study, sharing the understanding of India's innovative potential and collaborative capacity. The second will be dedicated to presentation of international academic papers on ICT innovation specifically between Europe & India and including emerging economies at large. The third and final section, will be a dedicated exhibition where some of the innovative Indian companies, involved in the EuroIndia knowledge mapping, will display their innovations to the audience.
