TiE Delhi launches Special Interest Group for women entrepreneurs

The Delhi chapter of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) today launched a Special Interest Group (SIG) dedicated to women entrepreneurs in the NCR region. The SIG aims to enable, empower and energize women entrepreneurs in the region. Through this SIG, TiE Delhi aims to provide budding women entrepreneurs with a platform to come together and collaborate in a bid to scale greater heights with their enterprise.

The SIG was launched jointly by Saurabh Srivastava, Chairman Emeritus, TiE Delhi, Pradeep Gupta, President, TiE Delhi. The event witnessed a wide array of interesting sessions pertaining to issues faced by women entrepreneurs in the country like scalability, dealing with dynamic environments and concluded with an exhaustive workshop on the ‘must haves’ for running successful ventures.

A four member committee comprising of Sangeeta Murthy Sahgal, Senior Partner, Lumis Partners, Meena Kapoor, CEO, Astroyogi, Sudha Shastri, Founder and CEO, Inputs India and Uma Arora, Chief Facilitator, Idam Learning will be driving this SIG in Delhi.

On this occasion, Saurabh Srivastava said, “Through this initiative TiE endeavors to provide women entrepreneurs with access to a vast pool of resources, support system and exclusive mentoring sessions targeted towards creating enough role models and building on the ecosystem that will drive the entrepreneurial spirit in Indian women.”
