TiE Mumbai to organize: placeIndia's largest summit for entrepreneurs next week

To be held from 21-23 Dec, the summit will be the biggest congregation of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in South Asia providing three days of inspiration, opportunity, learning& connectivity.

TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Mumbai will host the TiE Entrepreneurial Summit 2009, India’s largest summit for entrepreneurs, at Mumbai from Dec 21-23, 2009. Conceived by TiE Mumbai, and supported by various TiE chapters across India , ‘Enterprising India’ is a continuation of TiE’s efforts to create and propel a nation-wide movement to foster entrepreneurship spanning all socio-economic strata in the country. To be held at a specially created super dome structure measuring 60,000 sq. ft. at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra-Kurla Complex, the :placeSummit will help entrepreneurs get a fresh perspective towards their business through the experience, guidance and inspiration shared during the three days. The TiE Summit is being co-hosted by 6 iconic enterprising Indians, Harsh Mariwala, K. V. Kamath, Kishore Biyani, Malvinder Singh, Narayana Murthy and R Gopalakrishnan.

In true TiE Spirit of fostering entrepreneurship through education, mentoring and networking, it will offer delegates an opportunity to ‘Get Inspired’ through Made In India sessions wherein co-hosts will introduce 18-20 unique, inspiring enterprising Indians identified through a nationwide search across six segments: ‘Innovate or Die’, ‘Inclusive Finance’, ‘Serving the Indian Consumer’, ‘Health is Wealth’, ‘Education the Great Leveler’ and ‘Make things better, Make better things.’ It will also offer the entrepreneurial gathering an opportunity to ‘Get Insights’ through Power talks from business leaders including Ratan Tata, Shashi Ruia, Nandan Nilekani, Jaiprakash Gaur, Sonjoy Chatterjee, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Geet Sethi, Leander Paes, Informal, interactive Gurukul sessions with respected business leaders including Chanda Kochhar, Kanwal Rekhi, Jerry Rao, Nishith Desai and Rohini Nilekani will allow delegates an opportunity to ‘Get Mentored’. Exciting panel debates on challenges and opportunities in emerging growth sectors such as Finance, Telecom, Retail, Social, Security and Greentech are aimed at helping delegates ‘Get Informed’. Over 1000+ facilitated networking opportunities with investors, banks and potential partners, will also offer delegates a chance to ‘Get Connected’. Finally, the Summit will also feature an exciting and philosophical discussion on the “Difficulty of being Good” featuring Gurcharan Das, Rama Bijapurkar, Vinita Bali, Capt. Gopinath, Kiran Bedi, Malvinder Singh, with a few  other leaders in a fresh town hall format.

With a 20,000 sq. ft simulated Indian marketplace that will showcase the most interesting, diverse examples of enterprising India and a special Enterprising India Anthem composed by Pradeep Udhas and sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Jaspinder Narula will definitely make it an event to remember.
