World's 1st fully indigenized 1 ton utility vehicles "VECTOR" and "ODO" was also centre of attraction in 10th Auto Expo2010

World’s 1st fully indigenized 1 ton utility vehicles “VECTOR” and “ODO” launched by Indian manufacturer Urastun was also centre of attraction in 10th Auto Expo2010. After passenger vehicle another Indian manufacturer is now being credited to gift the world with small affordable solutions for material handling. The company is unveiling two of its fully indigenized one ton compact carriers- “VECTOR” a small Pick-&-Carry Crane which can handle loads up to 1000 kg and “ODO” -a small Fork Lift which can handle loads up to 1000 kg. World has witnessed and accepted the small Cars, Small Trucks and other vehicles introduced by various automotive giants in India.  In line with the same effort URASTUN is rendering its contribution to the Global industry by introducing the World’s 1st fully indigenized 1 ton utility vehicles.

J P Marwaha, Chairman, Urastun said, “Vector and Odo will herald a new era in the loading and transportation of various goods. It has taken huge investment of time and money in designing and development of both the machines. We have been able to put the best and World Class sub-assemblies in the machines assuring the strength, quality and reliability.” “These two vehicles can be called as ‘NANO” of Utility Vehicle Industry. “VECTOR” and “ODO” are another gift to the industry of the whole World from India,” he added. “VECTOR” and “ODO” are going to be a boon for every segment of industry may it be small, medium or large.  VECTOR and ODO are an innovation having multiple applications, across various industry sectors. Everybody would need one as these vehicles are cheaper to buy, require amazingly less fuel to operate and can maneuver easily in small space. In fact, “VECTOR” and “ODO” shall enable faster material movement at a considerably lesser price and considerable more safety. Nationally, these vehicles will upgrade our infrastructure to complement India’s growth and internationally, these shall reiterate the capability of India to deliver a cost effective product. “These two vehicles are going to earn not only laurels for India but also a huge amount of money to the national exchequer. We and our team of experts are proud of this grand achievement.

Now Urastun is the first company in the world to introduce compact carrier vehicle –Automotive Mobile Crane and Lifter. These two vehicles have been launched to cater the needs of different small and medium industries, organizations, institutions. Since they carry load up to 1000 Kgs, entire industry, mandees, railways, ports, airports, construction sector will get benefited by these two every cost effective vehicles. Rahul Marwah , MD of  Urastun said that utility vehicle market in India is growing rapidly as market in now clearly segmented in small, medium and large categories and presently the size would be around Rs 2000 crore.. According to Rahul, Presently, global market is being dominated by large capacity utility vehicles that are more than 5 tonnes and there is a huge gap for lower capacity. Although China is manufacturing low capacity battery operated carriers but cost of operation and maintenance is as high as to Rs. 1,00,000 per month whereas these diesel operated Urastun vehicles will less than Rs. 5,000 per month as they consume 0.75 liter  diesel per hour. “Vector” and “Odo” will not only save money but time as well and will play an important role for the growth of the economy.
