"West Bengal has a favourable climate for investment. There can be some political disturbances because it is a democratic country. You cannot say that are so many problems that I cannot invest. Land bank was set up, power is surplus in the state," Banerjee told the PanIIT Global Conference.
She highlighted the financial crisis in the state and said that the problem of funds was affecting the health sector and 100 days work.
Banerjee pointed out about the achievements of the state in registering 6.9 per cent SGDP against in Q1 period of 2012-13 against national growth of 5.5 per cent.
She highlighted the steps the government has taken for growth of the state saying the state was planning to have knowledge and financial hubs, and IT and hardware policies.
Banerjee said that Bengal was also focusing on growth of the agricultural sector and taking measures to achieve it despite financial constraints.
