"Had we received full cooperation from the Centre we could have reached to the top among all states in the pace of development and economic growth", Modi said demanding the 'Special Economic Status' to Bihar.
Modi, also a senior BJP leader, was addressing people from the state in the metropolis inaugurating the 'Bihar Shatabdi Samaroh' to mark the state's 100th year of formation, organised by the Bihari Samaj.
"The Bihar CM has brilliantly shown how a turnaround in the state could be possible in all respects. People from Bihar now prefer to settle in home state instead of other places", Modi said.
Modi further said that not only Bihar, rather the entire Eastern and North Eastern states including West Bengal, Odisha and Assam had been deprived by the Centre and it has been a tradition since long.
He called upon all Biharis living in the metropolis to extend their support for fight against Centre's step-motherly attitude towards Eastern and North Eastern states.
"Wherever you stay extend your support for legitimate demands by all eastern and North Eastern states and always keep in touch with your home state", Modi urged.
