"Cap (on LPG cylinder) will be increased to 24...We will give interest free loans to farmers if voted to power at the Centre," BJP state president Laxmikant Bajpai told reporters here yesterday.
Bajpai said the party will hold state-wide rallies between December 25 and January 10 to protest the UPA government's decision to allow FDI in retail.
Criticising the Akhilesh Yadav government for poor law and order situation in the state, Bajpai said BJP would also oranise a rally on December 15 to highlight this. Uma Bharti will be participate in the rally.
He said that the minimum support price for sugarcane as announced by the Samajwadi Party government was lower than what the farmers had to spent in growing the crop.
