Addressing a public meeting at Digha in West Singhbhum district, Ramesh also apologized to the people for the tardy pace of development work due to the naxal activities.
He, however, assured them that development work would pick up momentum as political activities would be taking place in the villages in Saranda forest range while appealing the ultras to join the mainstream of the society.
Ramesh thanked the villagers for co-operating with the state administration in getting rid of the naxal activities in Saranda forest.
The minister, who spent over three hours in Digha, laid foundation of an Integrated Development Centre Bhawan.
He said the building, to be constructed at a cost of Rupees five crore, would be ready in six months and all development projects will have its office under one roof.
The minister also inaugurated the office of Water Harvesting in Manoharpur.
