The Class X student Sudip Haro slipped into the water during a picnic near Saranga under Parjang police station, the sources said.
A Class IX student Sidharth Sandha jumped into the water and helped the other student to safety, while he himself went missing, they said.
The local people and the fire brigade launched a search but were unable to trace Sandha. COR SKN PC
