First rice processing plant inaugurated

Inaugurating the Rs 8.61 lakh plant at Parasi pancahyat of Ichak block in the district, District Agriculture Officer Sukhdeo Hemborm said the plant was opened to facilitate procuring rice from the farmers of the block.

Farmers of the rice producing belt would be benefited immensely as the plant will produce eight quintals of rice per day and they need not go out of their block to sell their produce to private rice mills, he added.
