The IMA called the strike after a doctor Dilip Kumar was booked under section 304 when parents of a girl alleged that their daughter had died due to medical negligence.
The National Integrated Medicine Association, homoeopathic association, district physiotherapists association, druggists and chemists association and district medical representatives association also joined the stir, paralysing health services in the district, official sources said.
Superintendent of Police Ganesh Kumar appealed to the IMA to call off the strike as the demands had been conceded.
