'Idhayakkani' Jagannathan passes away

He was admitted after he complained of breathing trouble and the end came this morning, sources said.

In her condolence message, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said, "Ever since he was an assistant director working with director P Neelakandan, I knew him. His demise is a great loss to the cine industry. I express my deep condolences to his family."

Jagannathan (83) had also directed popular movies like 'Kaavalkaran,' 'Kanavan,' 'En Annan' and 'Kannan En Kadhalan.'

Idhayakkani was released in 1975.
