"The NDA has no moral right to call a Bharat bandh. If the NDA was so concerned over the issue, it's government in Bihar should have withdrawn tax on petrol. It would have enabled people to buy petrol at Rs 52 per litre," Paswan told reporters.
He demanded that that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar set aside 'drama' and withdraw the state tax on petrol.
Paswan demanded that the Centre should also withdraw the central tax on petrol.
Referring to Bihar government banning the sale of tobacco and gutka for the next one year, Paswan said if the state government was really concerned about people's health it should have banned sale of liquor.
