Lokesh (27), the main accused, has been arrested along with his two associates Sandeep (20) and Dhiraj (22) for allegedly killing 19-year-old Bittto in April this year, Sanjay Kumar Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), said.

They were arrested from near Corss River MAll in Surajmal Vihar area yesterday.

Investigators claimed he is an "obsessed lover" who dumped the body of Bittoo, a Class XII student, in Noida after strangling him.

"Bittoo's murder was the second murder committed by the obsessed lover in the past two years for the same girl. In 2010, he had murdered a boy for showing interest in the girl. He was arrested and jailed. He came out on bail eight months ago.

"This time he murdered the girl's brother for objecting to the relationship," Jain said.

In 2010, he had allegedly murdered one Pramod whom he suspected of getting "too friendly" with his girlfriend. "He had warned Pramod but according to him, Pramod refused to listen to him. He abducted Pramod and took him to Muradnagar in UP where he strangulated Pramod," he said.

Lokesh came out on bail about eight months ago, Jain said adding when he tried to rekindle his friendship with the girl, her brother objected.

"Lokesh then decided to kill Bittoo. On April four, Lokesh and Sandeep called the victim and persuaded him to accompany them to Noida. Dheeraj joined them on the way. When they reached an isolated spot in Sec-65 Noida, they strangulated Bittoo inside their Maruti van and then dumped his body," Jain said.

Incidentally, he has used the vehicle in both the murders. He claims to be in love with his girlfriend since the past seven years.

Dheeraj works as a musician in a Jagran Mandli in the Farsh Bazaar area. He has known Lokesh since childhood.

Sandeep is unemployed and has known Lokesh and Dheeraj since the past six years.
