Bankura district followed with 7.6 degrees, 8 degrees below normal, with Sriniketan in Birbhum district registering 8 degrees and Burdwan 8.5 degree, met department sources said.
The metropolis recorded the highest day temperature of 19.1 degrees, 7 degrees below normal, while the night temperature hovered around 10 degrees, the sources said.
Several trains bound for North India and northern districts of the state were rescheduled because of fog and late arrival of corresponding trains, Eastern Railway sources said.
