Chief minister Tarun Gogoi will be present on the occasion for the MOU and the hospital will be set up in North Guwahati at the Tolaram Bafna health complex, he said.

Asserting that the government will not tolerate any private practise by government doctors, the health minister said as many as 450 doctors were appointed to serve in the rural sector yesterday.

The minister said that following a cabinet decision last night, teachers who have BED, MED and BT degrees will only be qualified to be appointed as high school teachers.
