"We appeal to all governments and the United Nations to call on China to genuinely uphold international human rights standards and norms," Sherab Tsedor, who is leading the 'A Messenger of Snowland' campaign for free Tibet, told reporters here.
The blindfolded activist claimed 45 Tibetans have immolated for the cause in their home country.
"We strongly urge China to respect the fundamental right of the Tibetans to freely practice their religion and end the so called Patriotic Re-education Campaign. The UN should turn towards incidents in Tibet," he said.
Leading the campaign from Kerala since March, Tsedor is planning to cover major cities and towns in the country to spread awareness on the demand for free Tibet.
He is also collecting signatures, which, he plans to submit to the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner in Delhi in December.
