Speaking at a function here to celebrate 'Hul Diwas' to commemorate the Santhal rebellion of 1857, the chief minister said "we are here to protect the rights of tribals and ensure that they are not curbed."
Stating that the government has built houses for tribals in junglemahal, she said a 'own land and own house' project was also being implemented. "My government is alert against any attempt to snatch away tribal land."
Referring to her government's success in restoring peace in junglemahal she said that rice at Rs two per kg was being provided to tribals and a lot of development initiatives taken.
