1.5 lakh cash stolen from customer's bag in bank

Cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh has been allegedly stolen from a customer's bag by unidentified persons in a bank here, police said today.
A customer Jagdish Meena, who holds an account of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) in the State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur's (SBBJ) Old Dhan Mandi branch, in his complaint said that he had queued up at the counter to deposit cash worth Rs 4 lakh yesterday afternoon. While depositing the amount, he found the zip of his bag open and three wads of Rs 500 note (total Rs 1.5 lakh) missing, Deputy SP Gopi Singh Shekhawat, said.
A case of theft has been registered against unidentified persons at the City Kotwali police station, Shekhawat said, adding CCTV footage was being scrutinised.
On the basis of CCTV footage, two youths have been suspected to have picked up the money and were seen nowhere in the bank after the incident. They will be arrested soon, he said.
