Of them, 45 heavy vehicles were fined for violating the peak-hour ban order, said R N Mishra, Superintendent of Police (Traffic).
As many as 285 persons were challaned for riding two-wheelers without helmet, 215 for travelling without fastening seat-belts, 58 for violating parking rules, and 25 for over-speeding, the police officer said.
"Our traffic team deputed for imparting awareness and education visited three more educational institutions today," the police officer added.
