The accused identified as Manoj Kumar Bhoora was arrested yesterday. He was produced in court today and remanded to police custody for two days.
During investigation, it came to the fore that Manoj was in a relationship with wife of the deceased, identified as Mahavir.
On May 3, Mahavir's body was found at a farm near Seekri here. Based on the information of farm guard Dinesh, a complaint was registered, they said.
The case was handed over to Crime Branch Badkhal.
Yesterday, police nabbed Manoj on the charges of killing Mahavir.

About a month ago, Mahavir had seen them in a compromising position and warned Manoj to keep away from his wife, police said.
In order to take revenge and get rid of him, Manoj invited Mahavir for drinks on May 3 at a farm near Jile Singh Farm House in Seekri Faridabad, they said.
He then fired at Mahavir with his country-made pistol, killing him on the spot.
The pistol used in the crime is at the house of the accused in Hathras, and is yet to be recovered, said Inspector Anil, investigating officer.
