Complainant Sohail Anwar said that he had lent some amount to Naved, but when he asked him to return it, the accused started threatening to kill him on social messaging app, Senior Superintendent of Police RPS Yadav said.
Anwar, a resident of Nakhasa Bazar area, today approached police and submitted proof of his allegations against Naved following which officials concerned were directed to register an FIR against the accused, Yadav said.
Misuse of social media would not be allowed, the SSP said, adding that earlier also action was taken against those who tried to misuse the social media.
