1 injured in bomb explosion

One person was injured as a powerful bomb exploded near Assam Rifles outpost at Chingarel area in Imphal East district of Manipur this morning.
Thokchom Kumar Singh (50) was injured in the blast as he was passing by the spot at that time, a senior police official said.
The bomb, planted by unidentified militants, was possibly aimed at security personnel who go on routine patrol in the area.
