1 injured in clash during J'khand Cong in-charge's first visit

One person was injured in gunshots fired when some Congress members clashed in Jharkhand during the visit of newly-appointed AICC in-charge of the state B K Hariprasad to the party headquarters here today.
"One person suffered bullet injury in the clash and was admitted to hospital. The bullet was removed after an operation," Superintendent of Police (City) Manoj Ratan told PTI.
He said five to six shots were fired during the clash.
Congress' Dhanbad MLA Manan Malik filed an FIR against Anup Singh, state unit president of the Youth Congress and Sahabaz, the head of NSUI, accusing them of involvement in the incident, a senior Congress leader said on condition of anonymity.
The clash took place when Hariprasad was meeting senior leaders at the Congress Bhavan.
Policemen were posted in the campus after the clash in which lathis and blows were also used.

Hariprasad told reporters, "An incident happened outside the party office. I have directed PCC President Sukhdeo Bhagat to investigate and submit a report within 24 hours."
When his attention was drawn to video footage showing a man shooting from inside Congress Bhavan, Hariprasad said he was a witness that nothing had happened inside the campus.
"Differences happen, but it should be within limits and one should not lose one's cool," Hariprasad, who has taken over from Shakeel Ahmed, said.
Later, the PCC chief, who formed a three-member committee to look into the incident, was given seven days to submit the report, PCC spokesman Sailesh Sinha said.
AICC Secretary Gitashree Oraon, K N Tripathy and Bana Gupta have been appointed as committee members. All three are legislators.
Ranchi MP Subodh Kant Sahay, AICC secretary Gitashree Oraon, Congress leader Tarachand Bhagora, PCC chief Sukhdeo Bhagat, former MP Furkan Ansari, MLA Manan Malik, R P Singh and several other leaders were present at the party meeting.
