1 injured in clash over idol installation at village temple

A 22-year-old youth was injured in a clash over installation of idol at a temple at Kundanpur village under Bagwala police station, police said today.
A scuffle broke out between Sanjeev and Rajenrdra during installation of Lord Shiva idol at the village temple yesterday. Both claimed that they own the temple and wanted to perform the rituals, police said.
Later, Rajendra, along with his three sons - Shelendra, Narendra and Omsaran - attacked Sanjeev and shot at him. Sanjeev was rushed to hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.
In another incident, a 46-year-old man sustained serious bullet injuries after he was shot at allegedly by three persons at Bahta village under Pilua police station in this district.
Hari Singh was fired upon by Virendra, his son and brother near his house last night due to some old enmity, police said.
Following the shoot-out, Singh fell on the ground. He was rushed to hospital, where his condition is state to be serious, police said.
FIRs have been filed in both the cases, but no arrest has been made so far, police added.
