1 killed, 26 injured in bus accident in HP

Awoman was killed and 26 others were injured when a private bus in which they were travelling skidded off the road near Khural, 140 km from here, today.
Kanchan Devi (24), a resident of Radu village, died on the spot when the vehicle carrying 40 passengers met with an accident late this evening, Additional Superintendent of police Kulbhushan Verma said.
The three critically injured, including the owner of the bus Raj Kumar, were rushed to zonal hospital Mandi, while the other 23 injured have been admitted to a civil hospital Sunder Nagar, Additional District Magistrate Vivek Chandel said.
"District administration has provided Rs 5000 each to seriously injured as immediate relief," he added.
