1 killed, 3 seriously hurt as car collides with motorcycle

One person was killed and three others, including a teenager, were injured as a car collided with a motorcycle near Ikkas village here today with a judge claiming he called the state ambulance service to shift the victims without any success.
The identity of the deceased and one of the injured could not be ascertained immediately.
Senior CBI judge Jagdeep Lohan claimed he made arrangements for the injured to be taken to the general hospital.
The judge said he called the 102 ambulance service four times. Once, the person at the other end replied saying, "Do you expect the ambulance to fly to the spot?"
Sanjeev alias Bittu, a resident of Ramrai village, along with his brother Parth (13), was travelling in a Nano car from the village to the city. Near Ikkas village, the car collided with a motorcycle before ramming a tree.
Both Sanjeev and Parth as well as the two riders on the two-wheeler sustained serious injuries in the incident.

The villagers rescued the passengers from the car and alerted the ambulance service.
In the meantime, Lohan, who was passing through the spot, stopped his vehicle.
The CBI judge said he called the ambulance service four times but never got a satisfactory reply. Once, the person at the other end replied saying, "Do you expect the ambulance to fly to the spot?"
At this, the judge asked his security staff to stop a car passing through the road. They stopped a jeep and made arrangements for the injured to be sent to the hospital in it.
One of the motorcycle riders succumbed to the injuries, while Parth was referred to PGI.
According to Jind Civil Surgeon Dr Sanjay Dahiya, a probe has been ordered to look into the delay in sending the ambulance and find out those responsible for it.
