1 killed, four injured in bear attacks

One person was killed and four others injured in separate attacks by wild bears in Kashmir, police said today.
A police spokesman said that Mohammad Yaseen Famda (35), a resident of Fakeer Gojri area here, had gone for grazing his cattle in the forest area when he was attacked and killed by the wild animal.
Police has started probe and the body of the deceased has been handed over to his relatives for last rites, the spokesman said.
In another incident, he said, a bear attacked and injured two persons-- Mohammad Lateef Chohan and Bashir Ahmed Chohan-- both residents Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
They were admitted to a hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
In the third incident, the spokesman said, a bear attacked and injured two persons - Alyas Khan and Mohammad Sultan Khatana-- in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
