1 killed in clash over use of tube well

One person was shot dead and two others seriously injured in a clash between members of a family at Nagla village in the district here, police said.
According to police, a 23-year-old youth, identified as one Karan, was shot dead last evening in the village in the Budhana police station area.
SHO Kamal Yadav said that a case has been registered against six persons with one of those, Balram, having been arrested in this connection.
The clash occurred over a dispute involving the drawing of irrigation water from a joint tube well, police said, adding that the injured have been admitted to hospital.

Security has been tightened in the village and additional personnel have been deployed there after the incident, they added.
Meanwhile, the body of a rickshaw puller, who had gone missing 15 days back, was found in Bajheri village under New Mandi police station in the district last evening.
Police said that the deceased, whose rickshaw was found abandoned near Koikra village five days back, has been identified as Imran, 25. The case appears to be one of murder, they said, adding that the body has been sent for a post- mortem and inquiries are on into the matter.
