and three others were injured in a clash between members of the same family at Nalbari district of lower Assam today.
Police said the incident took place at Namati village near Tihu town this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Deka (55). Among the injured are his two wives Banalata Deka, Usha Deka and his son Hemen Deka.
Police said Anil's younger brother Mukunda Deka and his three sons attacked the family with sharp weapons.
The accused are absconding.
Property dispute is stated to be behind the attack.
All the three injured have been admitted to Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital here.
