A 32-year-old man, who was allegedly involved in the Tis Hazari court firing incident, was arrested today, police said.
The accused, identified as Suman Dass, was nabbed from near a park around the Mangolpuri flyover in outer Delhi on June 2, they said.
He had come there to meet a fellow gang member to collect money in order to escape from Delhi, they said.
When Dass saw police officers there, he tried to escape by whipping out a country-made pistol but was overpowered before he could open fire at the police team.
An undertrial, identified as Dinesh Karala, sitting in a police van was shot at by a teenager, suspected to be a member of Tillu Tajpuria gang, last week in the Tis Hazari court.
Dass had accompanied the juvenile on a scooter and was waiting for him at a distance. When he saw that the juvenile had been apprehended, he fled from the spot, the police added.
