1 unidentified militant killed

One unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with troops of 27 Assam Rifles and unknown militant group early this morning near the Makru river in Manipur's Tamenglong district, police sources said.
Assam Rifles recovered one AK-56 rifle with one magazine from the possession of the deceased militant, the sources said adding that the encounter took place at about 4.30 a m this morning.
The body of the deceased militant was taken to the Jiribam hospital for identification, the police sources added.
