They said a police team, acting on information, raided a shop at Rajapalayam in Virudhunagar district and found about 50 kg ganja hoarded there for sale, following which the shop owner and three workers were arrested.
CB-CID police nabbed three persons at Pamban Kuthukaal for allegedly hoarding and planning to smuggle 35 kg of ganja to Sri Lanka. They were later handed over to police at Rameswaram.
At Kambam, three persons were arrested and 10 kg of ganja bought from Andhra Pradesh was seized from an auto during a check. Another man managed to give police the slip and a search is on for him, they said.
