10 DVF personnel injured in accident

At least 10 District Voluntary Force (DVF) personnel of Koraput were injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Pottangi today, police said.
After preliminary treatment at the Pottangi hospital the injured security personnel were shifted to Koraput hospital and condition of at least six of them is stated to be critical.
According to police, a van carrying the DVF personnel was on its way to a neighbouring district for election duty and around 9 pm it collided with a trailer truck coming from the opposite direction near Jirliguda ghat road under Pottangi police limits.
"The force (DVF) was being shifted from Koraput to other area for election duty. The seriously injured jawans may be shifted to Vishakapatnam," said SDPO (Sunabeda) V R Rao.
