Ten persons were injured in a clash today evening between rival Trinamool Congress factions in West Midnapore district.
Police said that the clash in Hatiolka village broke out over the issue of filing of nomination papers for the upcoming panchayat elections.
It is learnt that the houses of some CPI(M) supporters were also allegedly torched during the clash.
Police said three of the injured have been admitted to Midnapore Sadar Hospital.
Earlier, Trinamool supporters blocked the road near the subdivisional office to protest against SDO Amitabha Dutta's move ordering a lathicharge on the warring mob which clashed first outside his office compound.
