Upon suspicion, police held one Justice, who was standing near a Gandhi statue on the road side. About 10 kg ganja was found from his bag, following which he was taken to the police station, they said.
He told police that one of his friends at Salem had given him the contraband with instructions to hand it over to another person, who would come near the statue.
The value of the ganja was being ascertained, police said.
