Three Rangers were also wounded in an exchange of fire with the militants during the raids late yestarday, said an official of the Sindh home department.
The Rangers carried out a raid following intellegence on a suspected hideout of militants in Kathore area, where the insurgents opened fire. Six militants were killed in retaliatory fire.
Four more were gunned down in Manghopir area. The paratroopers recovered suicide vest and firearms from the possession of the insurgents.
In October 2013, the rangers and police launched a clean-up operation in Karachi.
