"According to secret inputs from Intelligence Bureau, 10 terrorists who have entered India with explosives via Nepal are suspected to be hiding in the district," Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh Yadav said here.
Following the inputs, the district police today launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) to trace the terrorists, he said.
Addressing the police officials at Sihani Gate police station, the SSP said the whole operation will be under command of City Superintendent of Police Shiv Hari Meena.
Today, the team conducted search operation in Nehru Nagar and Patel Nagar colonies in the city, Meena said, adding that the Civil Defense personnel and office bearers of Residents' Welfare Associations are also helping the team.
'CASO' team will launch the combing operation in densely- populated colonies in the district and verify credentials of the residents, Meena said.
