10 years RI to man for raping minor

A local court today awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment to a man for raping a minor two years ago and slapped a fine of Rs two lakh on him.
The judgement was passed by additional district and sessions judge Om Prakash Srivastava, who awarded the punishment to Sanjay Mahto under the POCSO Act.
According to Assistant Public Prosecutor Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Mahto had been charged with raping a 13-year-old in his house at Mirchak village in Nawada district in 2015.
