Directed, produced and co-written by Kashyap, 'Gangs of Wasseypur', a crime film, explores a revenge saga through the socio-political dynamics in a place called Wasseypur.

"Though people liked the film, in the first three days we did not do good business. But even then, the collection has been the biggest of my life. The kind of film this is and the kind of actors there are, the collection was big for us," Kashyap told reporters here last night at the success party of 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.

"It is a film where barring Manoj Bajpai people don't know anyone. Plus, the film had everything going against it like the two parts, one part being an incomplete story, then the kind of language it had, adult certificate. You know people see the negative points more," the 39-year-old said.

The two-part revenge saga stars Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadda, Reema Sen and Tigmanshu Dhulia.

On if he aimed at Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, Kashyap says, "It (Rs 100 crore) is too much of an expectation. But if it happens then it is good. Even if we don't cross Rs 100 crore, it is fine. All I want is that whoever has worked on the film should make profit, everybody should earn money." (MORE)
