Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the state government has decided to launch '100 Dial Scheme' to reduce incidents of crime and give justice to victims.
Under scheme, which is likely to be implemented from November 1 next year, police assistance would reach the victim of a crime at any place in the state, within 15 minutes of contacting the control room, an official release said.
Initially, 600 vehicles would be provided to the police. Each district would get 30 to 35 vehicles and Rs 153 crore would be spent for the scheme.
Khattar, after inaugurating eight 'Mitra Kaksh', aimed at developing coordination among the people and the police, at Civil Lines Police Station in Karnal, said his government was working at providing a "fearless environment" in the state.
He said these eight 'Mitra Kaksh' have been set up at a cost of around Rs two crore.
The chief minister said members of community liaison group and police personnel without uniform would sit in these 'Mitra Kakshs' to listen to the grievances of the people.
