Appreciating Madarasa Board for setting up model Madarasas in the state, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that first such 100 modern Madarasas will be upgraded to the secondary level.
Gehlot, speaking during a foundation laying ceremony of the Madarasa board's building, said the government in the state budget has proposed a scheme for modernisation of Madarasas and a provision of Rs 10 crore has been made for the same.
"We want Madarasas to be on modern pattern with all required facilities for students and are making efforts in this direction," he said.
Gehlot lauded the Sulemani Madarasa in Bikaner district, where girls are given modern education, and said that other Madarasas should take inspiration from that.
