100 shops gutted in Malbazar

Around 100 shops of a market at Malbazar in Jalpaiguri district were gutted in a fire early today, police and fire brigade officials said.
However, no casualty or injury was reported.
Five fire tenders fought for over three hours to bring the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained and the estimated loss is nearly Rs one crore, the officials said.
