108-year-old wife of Nehru's cousin dies

Shobha Nehru, wife of former diplomat B K Nehru who was a cousin of the country's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, died here today.
She was 108.
She is survived by three sons - Ashok, Aditya and Anil.
Aditya was at her bedside when she breathed her last this morning, family sources said.
Born on December 5, 1908, in Budapest and she was then known as Fori.
She came in contact with B K Nehru, a fellow student in England, in 1930 and both got married in 1935.

After her marriage she became Shobha Nehru.
She was the first foreigner in the Nehru family to be welcomed at Anand Bhavan in Allahabad.
She had been a witness to both the World Wars, the Holocaust, the India's Independence and partition, the Mahatma, the Nehru-Gandhis.
She would be cremated at Kasauli tomorrow.
