Eleven girl students on their way to school were injured when a overloaded autorickshaw capsized near here today, police said.
The girls, in the age group of 14-15 and from different villages on the outskirts of the town, were treated as outpatients at the government hospital here, they said.
They were commuting to the government girls higher secondary school here when the three-wheeler capsized and fell into a roadside ditch after the driver applied brake while negotiating a culvert.
The driver of the autorickshaw has been arrested.
Some of the girls said they were forced to take the autorickshaw since timing of bus services did not suit their school schedule.
