Haryan govt transfers 11 IAS officers, 55 state police officers

The Haryana government transferred 11 IAS officers and one HCS officer; the police officers' transfer comes after report on Jat agitation

The Haryana government on Tuesday issued transfer and posting orders of 11 IAS officers and one HCS officer with immediate effect. Further, on the heels of the Prakash Singh Committee report being made public, the government also effected a major shake-up of the police administration issuing transfer and posting orders of 55 Haryana Police Service officers with immediate effect. 

Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning Department, has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Monitoring and Coordination Department.

Roop Ram Jowel, Additional Chief Secretary, Industrial Training Department, has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Printing and Stationery Department vice Siddhi Nath Roy.

Siddhi Nath Roy, Principal Secretary, Printing and Stationery Department goes as Principal Secretary, Environment Department vice Anurag Rastogi, an official release said here tonight.

Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary, Environment, Monitoring and Coordination and Irrigation Departments has been posted as Principal Secretary, Excise and Taxation, Mines and Geology Departments vice Roshan Lal retiring on May 31, 2016.

He has also been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department.

Pradeep Kasni, Secretary and Director General, Archives and Industrial Training Departments goes as Director General, Science and Technology vice Anshaj Singh.

Praveen Kumar, Director and Special Secretary, Employment Department, goes as Director and Special Secretary, Archives Department in place of Pradeep Kasni.

Sameer Pal Srow, Managing Director, Haryana Tourism Development Corporation, has been given additional charge of Director and Special Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mission Director, State Urban Livelihood Mission and State Urban Development Authority relieving Vikas Gupta of the charge.

Ashok Sangwan, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, and Advisor and Special Secretary, Civil Aviation Department has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited vice Phool Chand Meena.

HCS officer Hardeep Singh, Administrator, HUDA and Additional Director, Urban Estates, Panchkula has been given additional charge of Administrator, HUDA (Headquarters), Panchkula in place of Phool Chand Meena.

The government also shook up the state police administration issuing transfer and posting orders of 55 Haryana Police Service officers, including transfers of several Deputy Superintendents of Police.

According to the Prakash Singh committee set up by the state government to inquire into the Jat agitation, the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and DGP "fell short" of what could be expected of them while some officers at local level "deserted" duties and some did not act due to "caste bias".

Among those who were shuffled today include Raj Kumar Wali, ACP, Ambala who has been posted as DSP, Headquarter, Karnal in place of Rajesh Kumar Lohan who goes as DSP CID, against vacancy.

Rahul Dev, DSP, Sonipat has been posted as DSP, Headquarter, Jhajjar, against vacancy, an official release said here.

Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Hisar and Kaithal were among the worst-affected districts during the Jat quota agitation, which claimed 30 lives.

Dinesh Kumar Yadav, DSP, Jind has been posted as DSP CID.

Gurdial Singh, DSP Meham has been posted as DSP City Fatehabad in place of Vijay Singh who goes as DSP Rohtak.

Shamsher Dahiya, DSP Rohtak goes as DSP Meham in place of Gurdial Singh.
