11 killed in house fire in China

A major fire engulfed today two residential houses in China's east Zhejiang province, killing 11 people and injuring 12 others, authorities said.
The fire, which broke out shortly after midnight in Yuhuan city, was put out by 1:50 AM, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Eleven people were killed in the blaze, the government said.
Two more persons were critically injured while 10 others sustained minor injuries, it said.
The cause of the fire was being investigated, the report added.
